This marionette was designed by Josef Lada between the years 1920-28. Lada was a Czech artist, writer and painter who wrote legendary fairytales known by every Czech boy and girl.

This original marionette of a queen, designed by Josef Lada, comes directly from his rich imagination. Her uniqueness is accentuated by a beautiful blue dress and a string of pearls. She is made entirely of wood, including her face, hair, and high crown, and her dress is made of beautiful fabric. The materials used to make this marionette are original and of very good quality.
Josef Lada (1887 - 1957) was a Czech painter, illustrator, set designer, cartoonist and writer. In addition to many fairy tales and books for children, which he wrote, he mainly illustrated The Good Soldier Svejk: And His Fortunes in the World War and other books by Jaroslav Hašek. His marionettes were made as small series production and mostly used in small amateur and semi-professional theatres.
Everything matched the description. The quality is very on point. It met my full expectations at beyond 100% . Very professional.
It’s adorable and so much fun to play with. My 4 year old loves watching the marionette dance!
